    Departing from Adelaide, set off onboard The Ghan to Alice Springs, the gateway to Australia’s Red Centre. As you settle into your private cabin and get acquainted with this legendary train, you’ll marvel at the landscape as it changes from the rolling pasture lands of South Australia to the rich ochre of the outback.

    Upon arrival in Alice Springs, venture out to Kata Tjuta and Uluru, the beating red heart of Australia. With expert local guides, you’ll explore these otherworldly rock formations and learn about their cultural and spiritual significance to the local Aboriginal peoples. The sunrises and sunsets you’ll witness over this sacred and spiritual landscape are truly unforgettable.

    On the way back to Alice Springs, stop in at Watarrka National Park for a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon. You’ll have the chance to visit the Garden of Eden, a beautiful rock hole surrounded by rare plants found nowhere else on Earth. If heights aren’t for you, there is an alternative (and easier) walk along Kings Creek and across the boulder-strewn canyon floor.

    Your journey concludes in Alice Springs, where you’ll have plenty of time to explore the town and even embrace The Ghan’s colourful history with a camel ride through the desert.
