    Your cycling journey starts with a full day supported ride on the Queenstown Trails. The cycling route includes riding along the shore of Lake Wakatipu, in the scenic country-side, around historic Arrowtown, along the beautiful Arrow and Kawarau Rivers to the Historic Kawarau Suspension Bridge - home of the world famous Bungy Jumping, and finish with a short ride through to Gibbston Valley and enjoy a relaxing wine tasting.

    Then set off on a scenic and historic journey into the Central Otago heartland for 2 days. You'll cycle 4 to 5 hours per day on a vehicle free trail with an easy gradient. Traverse ever-changing mountainous, rugged landscapes, tunnels, viaducts, spectacular river gorges, old historic gold-mining villages and more.

    After a luxury hilltop private villa retreat and take in the best vistas of Lake Wakatipu, The Remarkables in Queenstown, embark on a hiking adventure to Mount Cook National Park's Hooker Valley to wonder at dazzling iceberg lakes, sky-scraping peaks and spectacular glaciers.

    Continue your cycling adventure and ride on the Alps 2 Ocean (A2O) Cycle Trail and fully immerse in New Zealand's symbolic colour and beauty - the high peaks and distinctive blue lakes. Spend another two nights on the edge of Aoraki Mt Cook National Park, taking in the stunning views of the turquoise blue waters of Lake Pukaki and the Southern Alps and Aoraki Mt Cook.

    No Mackenzie Basin visit is complete without stargazing. So your finale will be in a private cellar observatory to explore one of the darkest skies in the world with a 6" refractor telescope while you are treated with refreshments and nibbles.

    You'll be supported with a local experienced tour guide and support vehicle while you are on the trail.

    You luggage will be transferred to your next accommodation. You only need to carry a daypack.

    This cycle adventure is a 5 day/4 night guided tour on the Otago Central Rail Trail, a scenic and historic journey into the Central Otago heartland. You'll cycling 4 to 5 hours per day on a vehicle free trail with an easy gradient, traversing ever-changing mountainous, rugged landscapes, tunnels, viaducts, spectacular river gorges, old historic gold-mining villages and more. 

    You will soon to understand why Otago Central Rail Trail is favoured by so many cyclists. You can get a Rail Trail Passport, which can be stamped at every historic station you pass through. You will ride passing many beautiful Mountain ranges, Rock and Pillar Range, the Kakanuis, Rough Ridge, Raggedy Range, the Hawkduns and the Dunstan Range. But you won't have to climb any of them, because the trail follows an old railway line. You will ride through many charming historic townships, with cafés and restaurants showcasing the region’s fantastic food, wine and beer. Let your thoughts wander to the next meal, because great food, wine and craft beer are part of this amazing adventure.

    You'll be supported with a local experienced tour guide and support vehicle while you are on the trail. The guides are passionate and knowledgeable about the trail and the area and this will all add to making this a tour to remember.

    Accommodation is included each night at old historic hotels. You luggages will be transferred to accommodation. You only need to carry a daypack.
