Beginning from Cape Jervis, the starting point of the iconic 1200km Heysen Trail, ease into the hike along the Southern Ocean’s beautiful coast, taking in hidden coves and majestic views over Backstairs Passage, the narrow shipping lane between the mainland and Kangaroo Island. Explore the mystical Deep Creek and marvel at ancient grasstrees, colourful wildflowers and the majestic year-round waterfall. From Tapanappa Ridge, admire the panoramic views that stretch all the way to Antarctica and inhale some of the world’s cleanest air. Cap off your journey at the striking cliff face of Newland Conservation Park where white-bellied sea eagles can be seen dipping and diving below.
This magnificent 4-day hike includes 3 nights’ accommodation at a charming homestead exclusively located in the heart of Deep Creek Conservation Park.
