The Rim Walk is botanically and spiritually rich, combined with astounding scenery such as the buttressed domes that surround the Amphitheatre, the Lost City and Garden of Eden. The walk takes approximately 3 hours requiring a good fitness level and for those wanting a softer option, there is the shorter and easier Kings Creek walk leading into the centre of the Canyon.
Following the walk you make your way to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, stopping at Willonga Well for lunch under the shade of mighty Desert Oaks with perhaps a glass or two of wine. On arrival at the National Park, it's a good time to stretch the legs at Kata Tjuta with the 'Windy Gully' walk or Walpa Gorge, suitable for most fitness levels.
Continue drive to Uluru and arrive at Sails in the Desert, your luxurious hotel for the next two nights. Relax in spacious, beautifully appointed rooms, enjoy cocktails by the pool, or stroll through the hotel's acclaimed Mulgara Gallery.
As the sun sinks over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is famous, enjoy sparkling wine and nibbles as you begin to absorb the enormity and beauty.
After sunset, enjoy an award-winning dining experience under the stars 'Sounds of Silence', which offers the best of the Red Centre distilled into four unforgettable hours. The evening includes transfers, entertainment, canapés, beer, wines and non-alcoholic beverages, bush tucker inspired buffet (vegetarian arrangements made with prior notice), dessert, tea, coffee, port, startalk and stargazing.
Walking distance: approx. 12 km
You depart the Resort under darkness to a remote location to witness sunrise over the mighty monolith of Uluru and the domes of Kata Tjuta.

Along the trail you will witness sunrise, visit waterholes and the rock art sites of the ancients and learn of Uluru’s cultural significance to the Anangu (local Aboriginal) people. Take time out to enjoy your picnic outback breakfast as you listen to the variety of desert noises from the surrounding environment.
As you make your way around the base, your guide will tell you a number of stories associated with prominent Tjukurpa (Creation stories). From the Tjukurpa of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (woma python) learnt along the Kuniya Walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole to the story of the Mala people heard along the Mala Walk to Kantju Gorge, this full base walk gives you the opportunity to truly immerse yourself in the beautiful culture and history of this amazing place.

Japan's weather and climate features four distinct seasons.Spring is from March to May. It's perhaps one of the very best times to visit Japan as temperatures are pleasantly warm without being too hot, with daytime temperatures ranging between 21°C to 26°C. The country is ablaze with beautiful white and pink cherry blossom and plenty festivals to enjoy.Summer is from June to August and the country experiences a three to four-week rainy season. It is hot and humid during this time and temperatures are often in the high 30’s. If you plan on visiting Japan during the summer weather, northern areas such as Hokkaido or the mountains of Tohoku or Chubu are the most comfortable places to escape the heat.Autumn is from September to November and is characterised by light breezes and cooler temperatures of around 8-10°C. It is also a wonderful time to visit Japan. The country turns into a haven of red and scarlet leaves which contrast strikingly against the deep blue clear skies and almost as impressive as the stunning cherry blossoms.Winter is from December to February. It is a magical time to visit as the landscape is turned white with snow. It's the perfect time to go skiing or check out the hot springs, especially venture to the ski slopes of Hokkaido or Nagano. It's Okinawa is a great place to visit during the winter as it is not quite as cold as the rest of Japan’s weather.

We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider. Evacuation cost will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore it is also strongly recommended that our customers take out travel insurance to cover (amongst other things) the costs associated with evacuation.Travel InsuranceIn view of the heavy cancellation penalties applied to cancelled reservations in certain circumstances, we strongly recommends suitable travel insurance be purchased at the time the holding deposit is paid. We recommend insurance cover that covers any loss which may be suffered due to cancellation. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance against loss of baggage and medical expenses.
