The North Flinders Ranges offers some of the most stunning scenery in Australia as well as some of the most attractive outback properties. This trekking tour includes selected walks on some of the best sections of the Heysen Trail. The North Flinders Ranges offer a rolling range of majestic peaks and rugged ridges, the trails combining exceptional views with enjoyable strolls and achievable challenges. The forests of cypress pines create an almost alpine ambiance in these semi‑arid ranges with the dry climate creating ideal conditions for walking.
You will walk 13 to 15 km, 6 - 8 hours walking each day over rugged terrain with some steep ascents and descents. This tour represents an easy to moderate trekking itinerary but one which rewards with the breadth of experience it offers. From the harsh yet incredibly beautiful landscape of the Flinders Ranges to the remarkable scale of Wilapena Pound to the famous Heysen Trail winding through magnificent landscapes between Parachilna Gorge, this is rewarding journey that will connect you with the very essence of this incredible region.

Bruny Island, located just 40km from Hobart off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania, is the state's fourth largest island. Known for the incredible quality of its produce and fresh seafood, Bruny Island is also renowned for some of Tasmania's most beautifully preserved natural environments with abundant wildlife and stunning cliff top views. The island is about 50 km long but appears to be two islands with North and South Bruny joined by a narrow strip of land called Bruny Island Neck. Bruny Island Neck is an isthmus of land connecting north and south Bruny Island in southern Tasmania and offers stunning 360 degree views and is an important habitat for native wildlife.
