The famous track leads through native bush along the ridgeline of hills between the sounds, offering spectacular views in every direction. This manageable itinerary incorporates gorgeous coastal views across native bush, walking between 4 and 8 hours a day. Marlborough Sounds is a collection of ancient sunken river valleys filled with the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Forested hills rise dramatically from the ocean around a winding coastline of sheltered inlets and sandy bays. This is a lodge based walk. From your luxury accommodation at the acclaimed Bay of Many Coves Resort, travel each day to a different section of the Queen Charlotte Track returning at day's end to a luxurious one bedroom apartment with beautiful views over the bay.
