Meet your guide at Melbourne CBD at approx. 8:30am. The Grampians is a three hour drive from Melbourne. Arrive at Halls Gap for lunch. After lunch it is time to strap on the boots and depart for an afternoon walk.
This is a lovely walk steeply descending down steps to 40m high MacKenzie Falls, then following the MacKenzie river gently downhill passing the cascading Fish Falls to Zumsteins where you will hear about the pioneer history of the area.
Relax at Meringa Springs overlooking Wartook Valley. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks while soaking up the views from the sunset bar (alcohol is not included in the package. available to purchase at the restaurant). Then enjoy your three-course dinner.

Walking distance: approximately 18.6 km walking, moderate to hard graded
After a hearty breakfast, start from the carpark in Halls Gap following Grampians Peaks Trail signs to Venus Baths. Just before the rock pools at Venus Baths take the track up the stairs towards Splitters Falls. Once on the Grampians Peaks Trail you will come to a track junction where you take a small detour to view Splitters Falls.
Return to the main Grampians Peaks Trail and climb up through a rocky gully towards Wonderland. The imagery and the unique shaping of the rocks gives rise to features like the Elephant Hide and the Grand Canyon. After the canyon, a steady ascent takes you through woodland and to the rocky corridor of Silent Street and then on to the famous Pinnacle - one of today's visual spectacles. From this lookout views of Mt William, Halls Gap and Fyans Valley are astounding.
Continue the ascend. From the summit of The Pinnacle you will rewarded with a stunning bird-eye view over the Gap.
Walking distance: approximately 12.2 km, 5.5 hours walking. Easy to moderate grade.
Explore the north-west edges of the Grampians National Park on today's hike. Start your walk at the Mount Zero Picnic Ground and follow the signage. You will be rewarded along the way with rocky outcrops, fern gullies, eucalyptus trees and the beautiful naturally occurring Stapylton amphitheatre.
This walk, suitable for fit and energetic walkers, can involve water crossings, slippery track surfaces, rock hopping and rockscrambling.
You will need to scramble a few rocks to reach the summit, but once at the top, you will be rewarded with magnificent views. Enjoy picnic lunch and relax at the summit before retracing your steps back down to the Mt. Zero Picnic Ground.
Walking distance: approximately 12 km for Mount Rosea Loop walking, moderate to hard graded. Elevation: 1033m. Optional Walk: Mount Rosea and Sundial Peak Lopp Walk 16.5 km
After a hearty breakfast, start a challenging ascent to the rugged peak of Mount Rosea (1033m). While the climb is challenging the path is well formed and shaded.
You will enjoy the rhythm of today's walk before topping out at the summit of Mount Rosea. Start an ascent through tall Messmate forest, marvel through a maze of sandstone outcrops, cross a bridge over the Gate of the East Wind. Continue the climb up windswept terraces until you finally reach the summit of Mt Rosea, where it offers amazing 360-degree views over the Serra and Mt William Ranges. This makes a superb spot for lunch and time to enjoy your reward for your morning's efforts.
For more of a challenge, you can continue your walk to the Sundial Peak where you are able to rest and soak up another stunning view. Then you will be transferred back to your luxury accommodation for some well-earned respite.
You will be transferred to Dunkeld. Tonight you will stay at Royal Mail Hotel. Your Deluxe Mountain View room is set within landscaped Australian gardens and offers stunning views of the Grampians peaks, from the balcony of your room or from bed with floor to ceiling windows.
Led by Royal Mail Hotel's sommelier, you will enjoy a wine cellar tour and a comparative wine tasting among the hotel's 28,000 bottle collection. It’s the largest privately owned collection of bordeaux and burgundy in the southern hemisphere, assembled over 40 years by hotel owner Allan Myers, QC, of the Dunkeld Pastoral Company.
Your final night's dinner is a five-course degustation prepared with fresh produce from the hotel's 1.2-hectare kitchen garden, at famous Wickens at Royal Mail Hotel.

This morning you'll enjoy an easy walk to the Balconies providing grandstand views over virtually the entire southern portion of the Grampians. Return to the car park and follow the track east through open heathland with impressive views north to Lake Wartook and the Mt Gar Range.
Then enjoy a lunch at the iconic Bushfoods Cafe.
Then it’s on to Dunkeld stopping enroute at Mt William (the highest peak in the Grampians) where you will walk to the summit on a medium grade track.
It is only a short walk and of a moderate nature but the views are amazing. You're able to look right along the entire length of the Grampians as it stretches north and south.
Enjoy shared plates at Parker Street Project and relax in your room offering views of the majestic Grampians National Park.
Walking distance: approximately 6.5 km, 3 hours walking. Easy to moderate grade.
The steep track winds its way through heathy woodland and over rock slabs to the summit. Enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the National Park.
Rising gradually as it heads north toward nearby Signal Peak (780 metres), the trail swings suddenly to the south-west and follows an escarpment rim toward Mount Abrupt. Once there, take in the wonderful views of the Serra Range to the north and over Dunkeld in the south. Keep an eye open for wedge-tailed eagles, nankeen kestrels and peregrine falcons. Enjoy lunch at a local cafe in Dunkeld. You'll have some free time in the afternoon exploring the small village of Dunkeld.
Travel back to Melbourne. Enroute to the Great Western winery district for a tour and walk the historic underground cellar, known as 'The Drives', which winds for three kilometers beneath the historic Great Western home.
Continue the drive back to Melbourne arrive at approx. around 2.00pm.
