Bruny Island Gourmet Walk is a luxury short break that captures and epitomizes the Tasmanian experience. Bruny Island has some of Tasmania's most beautifully preserved natural environments with abundant wildlife and stunning cliff top views. This 3-day walking experience takes you from Hobart, via private boat to Bruny Island. Bruny Island Gourmet Walk takes you through varied terrain including beaches, rocky headlands, bush trails and rainforest.

Bruny Island, located just 40km from Hobart off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania, is the state's fourth largest island. The island is separated from the Tasmanian mainland by the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, and its east coast lies within the Tasman Sea. Known for the incredible quality of its produce and fresh seafood, Bruny Island is also renowned for some of Tasmania's most beautifully preserved natural environments with abundant wildlife and stunning cliff top views. The island is about 50 km long but appears to be two islands with North and South Bruny joined by a narrow strip of land called Bruny Island Neck. Bruny Island Neck is an isthmus of land connecting north and south Bruny Island in southern Tasmania and offers stunning 360 degree views and is an important habitat for native wildlife.

Accommodation each night is included at a secluded luxury camp, on a private 100 acres on the edge of the South Bruny National Park, this little haven represents the perfect place to retreat. Surrounded by towering Eucalypts and blackwood trees, the private reserve supports an abundance of endemic Tasmanian birdlife and marsupials. Here you will enjoy freshly prepared meals made from the exceptional local produce. You return to the same camp at night, so you only need to carry a daypack during your day walk.

A small group of guests (maximum eight) are treated to coastal walks, produce direct from the source, luxury camping and exquisite meals.

Your package includes 2 nights' accommodation in luxury tent with king-size bed, private transfers from Hobart, daily guided walks along Bruny's stunning coastline and all meals (2 breakfast, 3 lunches, 2 dinners).

This relaxing itinerary of daily coastal hikes will introduce you to the very best of Bruny Island from its friendly seal colonies, to the striking cliff-top trails and delicious gourmet produce.

At the end of April the tour moves from the summer camp to the winter lodge. The menu changes from bbq’s and fresh salads to heart-warming food.
